Triano, a private hilltop casale between Lucca and the coast.
A private casale on its own hilltop.
Triano is a historic private hilltop casale between Lucca and the coast. Swim in the 18x6 m infinity pool, stretch in the private indoor gym, do yoga in the orchard, hike and bike right out of the gate, soak in the hot tub with stunning valley views, and enjoy artisanal wine from Triano's own hillside vineyards. Stone and terracotta, vines and olives, cypresses and golden skies define this setting.
Triano comfortably accommodates 10 guests across five bedrooms and four indoor bathrooms, perfect for families or groups of friends. The farmhouse keeps its historic Tuscan character with stone, terracotta and exposed wood beams. Generous double-height living and dining spaces flow gracefully into a fully equipped kitchen, next to a functional private gym.
Outside, the 18 by 6 metre infinity pool and hot tub are perched on the hilltop with sweeping views across the valleys, ridges and pristine forests. Between the outdoor sofas, hanging chair, sun loungers and the pool pergola, there are endless ways to enjoy nature from dawn to dusk. The shaded portico, with a wood-fired pizza oven and barbecue, is a beautiful setting for long al fresco meals paired with wine from Triano's own vineyards.
Booked exclusively to one group at a time, Triano offers the quiet of a private Lucchese hilltop with Lucca, the Versilia coast, Pisa, Florence and the Apuan Alps all within easy reach.
Wake among vines and olives, swim high above the valley, and dine outside as the forested hills turn gold.
Historic character, generous space, stunning views.

The Lucca hills, between city, coast and mountains.
Triano sits in the Lucchese hills, above the plains of Lucca and Pisa, in a landscape of rolling hills, quaint hamlets, pristine forests, vineyards, olive groves, stone farmhouses and quiet country roads. The feeling at the house is rural and private, but Lucca's historic centre is just 15 minutes away for an afternoon stroll or an evening out.
Lucca is the elegant heart of this area: ringed by intact renaissance walls you can walk or cycle, with piazzas, markets, independent shops and excellent restaurants built on fresh local ingredients and exceptional regional wine. It is far calmer than Florence, Pisa or Siena. The surrounding hills offer cycling routes, hiking trails, small trattorias and local wineries where you can eat and drink well away from the crowds, while the Versilia coast brings beach clubs and seafood from lively Viareggio to upscale Forte dei Marmi.
Triano is a secluded farmhouse on a hilltop, so a car is essential for reaching the property and exploring the area. It is easily and conveniently reached on fully surfaced asphalt roads. MANERI can arrange restaurant bookings, wine tastings, private drivers, beach clubs, bike hire and day trips.

Three things that make this stay different.
Swim, soak and stretch over the valley
The large 18 by 6 metre infinity pool and hot tub are perched on the hilltop above the Lucca and Pisa valleys for slow sunny days, while the private gym, yoga in the orchard, and biking and hiking right from the gate offer a more active way to enjoy the Lucchese hills.
A historic farmhouse with a working vineyard
Triano is surrounded by its own vines, olive groves, fruit trees and cypresses. The land is part of the experience and a working piece of Tuscan history: take an evening walk through the vines and groves with a glass of the artisanal red wine produced right here.
Hills, coast and most of Tuscany in one stay
Stay in the peaceful privacy of the hills, dine in Lucca, spend a day on the Versilia coast, walk or ride the Apuan foothills, visit the museums of Florence or Pisa, and plan longer days to the Cinque Terre, Chianti or Siena.
Curated by MANERI, on request.
Tell us what you'd like to experience and we will arrange it, from tastings in the wine hills around Lucca to beach days on the Versilia coast and in-villa dinners prepared by a private chef.
Wine tastings in the Lucca hills
Private visits to the family-run wineries of the Colline Lucchesi and Montecarlo, small producers where the tasting happens with the winemaker and the crowds stay away.
Private chef in the villa
A multi-course Tuscan dinner prepared and served at Triano by a private chef, or a hands-on cooking class for the group. Fresh pasta, regional specialities, local olive oil from hills like your own.
Beach days on the Versilia coast
The Versilia coast is roughly 30 to 45 minutes away, from lively Viareggio to the beach clubs of Forte dei Marmi. We reserve loungers and umbrellas at the right stabilimento, so your sea day is as effortless as your pool day.
Cycling from the villa
Ride the famous Renaissance walls of Lucca, roll through the surrounding hills, or take the flat route all the way to the coast. We arrange quality bike rental and route suggestions for every level.
Day trips & guided tours
Pisa, Florence, the Cinque Terre, the marble quarries of Carrara: all within easy reach. We design the route, the timing, and arrange a private driver where useful.
Pre-arrival grocery & extras
Stocked fridge on arrival, hand-picked local wines and pantry essentials waiting for you. Extra cleaning, laundry, and mid-stay refresh services available on request.
