The houses
Two villas for smaller groups.
Montelodoli is always rented to one group. At Villa L'Annesso the pool is on the estate and generally free for guests, but the owner of the neighbouring house may sometimes use it.

The area
Days out in Chianti and Siena.
Montelodoli is in the hills of Chianti Classico. Villa L'Annesso is on the southern edge of the wine region, where the vineyards come down towards Siena.
The wine roads
Greve, Panzano, Radda, Gaiole and Castellina all have wineries that take visitors, from family cellars to old estates. Most tastings are by appointment.
Siena
Piazza del Campo, the cathedral, and the Palio, run in the square on 2 July and 16 August. Villa L'Annesso is 10 minutes away.
The Crete Senesi
Clay hills and white roads between Asciano and Buonconvento, south of Siena, at their best early in the morning.
San Galgano
A roofless Gothic abbey and, on the hill above it, the round chapel of Montesiepi with a sword set in the rock.
At the table
Chianti Classico and Gran Selezione, ribollita, bistecca, pici, pecorino, and panforte and ricciarelli from Siena's bakeries. The new olive oil is pressed in October and November.

Florence airport is about 1 hour 15 from Montelodoli and 1 hour 30 from Villa L'Annesso. You need a car; both houses have free parking on site.

Are these villas good for couples?
Yes. Montelodoli is two separate studios, each with a king bed and its own bathroom, so it suits one or two couples. Villa L'Annesso has three bedrooms, one of them a twin room, for a couple with children or a group of friends.
Is the pool private?
At Montelodoli, yes: the property is always rented to one group, and the pool is open from mid-May to mid-October. At Villa L'Annesso the pool is on the estate and generally free for guests, but the owner of the neighbouring house may occasionally use it.
How far is Siena?
10 minutes by car from Villa L'Annesso and about 40 minutes from Montelodoli.
How much does a week cost?
Villa L'Annesso starts at €2,500 a week and Montelodoli at €3,500, for the whole property. We confirm the price for your dates within 24 hours.
Can you book wine tastings?
Yes. We book private visits to Chianti Classico wineries, from family cellars to old estates, and can send a chef to cook dinner at the villa. A private chef booked through us costs 10% less.
